How Do I Jump When I'm Scared To Do Something

Uncategorized Jul 02, 2018

This is a question that I get asked quite often from people.

“I’m really nervous about taking this next step in my career. So Greg, how do you jump when you’re scared to do something? How do you deal with the fear of the unknown?”

I think this is a valid question. I totally understand what these people are saying.

So let me ask you….

Do you ever feel scared to jump?

To do something new?

Do you ever fear the unknown?

I really don’t want you all to think of me as this indestructible, energized person that has no fear and has no reservations and does not have anything holding him back. It’s not true. I do have lots of fears.

I am scared sometimes to do things. But I just want to tell you that I think the reason why I’ve been able to overcome so much is because of this one concept that I understand.

When I’m scared to jump and when I’m scared to go into the unknown and I have that fear that comes over me about the...

Let's Get It!

My biz partner and I were talking about this before the event.

He gave me feedback about my students and he was very impressed with them. Mike's from Greece, I’m from Jamaica and we’re both from immigrant families.

I know many of you are Americans so I know that maybe this won't resonate with you as much, but when you’re from another country, you look at America as the land of opportunity.

When we became biz partners, we knew we could go and get it if we could serve people in a certain way, and if we could use the gifts that we had gotten from physical therapy school.

I grew up with that mentality. I have two brothers, and we lived in a middle-class neighborhood, called Pembroke Pines.

When I was growing up, these kids that lived around us would say to their mommy or their daddy:

“I want a radio-controlled car”

“I want a go-cart”

Some of them would get it.

They would get it sometimes if they got...

What Separates You as a Physical Therapist?

One of the things that I do is I consult. I consult now for fifteen companies. As of today, it might be eighteen companies.

I get these questions like, “how did you become a consultant? What are they looking for?”

Are you a physical therapist? Okay good.

Let’s talk about the real thing. Who are you? Do I even know who you are?

Can I find you on Periscope, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn. Are you even there? I am not talking about you have an account for it, I am talking about are you active? Are you even active in the world or are you just hiding? Because if you are hiding, you got no chance to ever get captured by another company

That’s the first thing.

Number two, if you are there, are you being your authentic self?

It’s very easy for me to come on YouTube, Periscope, Facebook Live in every single day and talk. Because I am talking me. This is me. There is no script. I don’t have to be anything but me, and when I am being me I don’t mess...

Be the Change

"Be The Change"

There are two groups of people.

There are

1. “Things gotta change in PT, and we need change!” people

2."We are changing. What the hell are you talking about?” people

Watch the video here: Be the Change

The field of Physical Therapy has never been in a better situation.

Because people are much more consumer-minded. Meaning that people realize that “I don’t wanna be loaded up on medications. I don’t wanna have to go in for a procedure.”

They just don’t know what their other options are, so the PTs that know how to sell themselves the best will have business lined up for them out the door.

These PTs understand that they are not gonna do it with the way "Danny Dino" did in 1979, because Danny Dino was playing under a different set of rules. He was getting paid $200 for every patient he saw, and it didn’t even matter how good he/she was... they just got paid for it.

Decide that...

Networking with Winners

Uncategorized Dec 04, 2017

Last year, I went to this LIVE event called Marketing Impact Academy, and when I went to Marketing Impact Academy I learned a lot of cool stuff there, but honestly Chalene Johnson (my mentor and host of the event) kind of rehashed a lot of the stuff in her course.

Most of the people that were there were part of the course but they hadn’t gone through it like me. But I still spent the $6,000 to go, because of the networking.

I was one of Chalene’s top students and they asked me to do a testimonial for her, so they brought me into this hotel room and I met the guy who was interviewing me. After he interviewed me, he was like, “You really have done well from this stuff.”

I am like, “yeah, it’s been amazing.”

He’s like, “Would you mind meeting with me?”

I am like, “I’ll meet with you.”

I had no idea who this guy really was. I ended up meeting with him. He was telling me some of the issues...
